| Uses | Sévélamer est indiquée dans le traitement de l'hyperphosphatémie chez des patients adultes hémodialysés ou en dialyse péritonéale. Sévélamer est également indiquée dans le traitement de l'hyperphosphatémie chez des patients adultes atteints d'insuffisance rénale chronique non hémodialysés, dont le taux de phosphate sérique est supérieur ou égal à 1,78 mmol/l. Sévélamer est indiquée pour le contrôle de l'hyperphosphatémie chez les patients pédiatriques (âge ≥6 ans et surface corporelle ≥0,75 m2) avec insuffisance rénale chronique. Sévélamer doit être utilisée dans le cadre d'une approche thérapeutique multiple, pouvant inclure un supplément calcique, de la vitamine 1,25-dihydroxy D3 ou un analogue, pour prévenir le développement d'une ostéodystrophie rénale. |
