| Uses | Hypercholestérolémie Traitement des hypercholestérolémies primaires ou des dyslipidémies mixtes, en complément d'un régime, quand la réponse au régime et aux autres traitements non pharmacologiques (par exemple, exercice, perte de poids) est insuffisante. Prévention primaire Réduction de la mortalité et de la morbidité cardiovasculaires chez les patients présentant une hypercholestérolémie modérée ou sévère et exposés à un risque élevé de premier événement cardiovasculaire, en complément d'un régime. Prévention secondaire Réduction de la mortalité et de la morbidité cardiovasculaires chez les patients ayant un antécédent d'infarctus du myocarde (IDM) ou d'angor instable et un taux de cholestérol normal ou élevé, en plus de la correction des autres facteurs de risque.
